While the modern fabrics used are highly breathable, they’re not always able to cope with the highest sweat levels of more intense riding. And here the innovative two-layer Alpha construction excels. This allows you to open the outer layer while keeping the inner insulation layer closed. The result is greater airflow and moisture evacuation to prevent sweat build-up but all without directly affecting your insulation levels.

The Alpha ROS 2 Jacket, just like its predecessors, makes it far easier to dress for a wide range of conditions. With the ROS (Rain or Shine) design you'll enjoy a best-in-class garment for dry, cold weather but it also offers protection should it rain. In light, but not incessant rain, or a sharp rain shower there's no need to immediately have to reach for another waterproof jacket layer.

The Rain or Shine system utilises Gore® INFINIUM™ Windstopper® 150 fabric for wind protection and the high breathability and effective protection required to ride in the rain. Inside, the insulation is now a softer and warmer 3D insulation-layer fabric, boosting warmth, improving the fit and delivering excellent moisture management.

The  ROS jacket is unlike any other that allows you to ride from low-temperature conditions right through to wet and mild conditions.

Performance Fit and Features

Stretch fabrics with advanced patterning make for an excellent close-to-body fit that still accommodates a wide range of body types. A raw-edge waist that lies flat and moves with you plus the Castelli silicone text gripper at your waist keeps the jacket from riding up. 3 rear pockets with reflective laser-cut drain holes plus an extra pocket with waterproof zip make for a very practical jacket with plenty of storage space.

Clever design details, such as seam-sealed shoulders and seams, moved out of direct water flow, shut water out yet provide ample breathability and ventilation too. Double layer cuffs to sit snugly both inside and outside your winter gloves too.
