Rain protection is afforded by both its waterproof fabric and fully taped seams. Together they prevent any water from seeping inside, even during more prolonged periods of rain. Fox have also added a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, ensuring water and mud beads on the surface rather than soaking in.
Not only does the Defend 3L keep the rain out, but thanks to excellent breathability the sweat you generate when riding won’t hang around inside either. And if you do find yourself needing a boost to airflow, underarm vents can be opened to let in some fresh cool air.
Mountain bike ready features also include abrasion-resistant Cordura deployed in high wear areas. The hood is compatible with most MTB helmets, ideal for when the rain is particularly incessant.
