Throwing yourself down downhill mountain bike trails takes, skill, courage and confidence, but it can still involve getting thrown from your bike. When that happens, the Rampage Comp Full Face MTB Helmet provides excellent safety for your head so you can keep riding.
The Perfect Combination. Light and Protective.
It's excellent protection levels are made possible via a combination of a tough but surprisingly light fibreglass shell and EPS foam liner. The outer shell is tough enough for all the regular trail riding use you throw its way and the EPS construction is also exceptionally good at absorbing impacts from crashing. Not just that, the MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) adds a whole other level of brain protection to the lid too. This will give you evermore confidence as you tackle trickier MTB trails. The interior also features a poured PU chin bar for security and a range of EPS and shell sizes make sure you kind find the perfect fit for a snug but comfortable feel.
The protection this helmet brings to your ride isn’t the end of the story though. That high-quality EPS liner is specifically channelled to allow maximised airflow to keep you cool and wick sweat away from your head at incredible speed. What’s more, the Dri-Lex® liner is fully removable and washable, with a refreshing antibacterial finish that keeps you feeling as great after a long day as you did at the start.
What is MIPS?
Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) is a proven system that reduces the rotational forces on the brain when you're involved in a crash. The forces are absorbed and redirected to prevent them from being transmitted to the brain.
MIPS is a Brain Protection System
Rotational motion can cause brain injuries
The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10–15 mm, in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
MIPS adds protection above and beyond standard helmets
