Wiggle started out as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop established in Portsmouth, UK in 1920. In 1999, Butlers Cycles went online with the launch of wiggle.co.uk.

By focusing on providing unmatched value and great customer service, Wiggle rapidly took off in the UK and soon began expanding around the globe. We have now grown to become a global leader in the online retail of equipment for cycling, running and swimming, selling to over 70 countries in 10 languages and 14 currencies.

We occupy over 85,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and stock over 2 million items!

Senior Developer


Job Title: Senior Developer

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Developer you will design, create, test and document new and existing software components from supplied specifications. Project change may require the introduction of new Wiggle systems, enhancements to existing systems and integration with 3rd party systems.  You will lead a small squad of 3-4 developers within the front end development team.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of leading development teams to deliver software change and being responsible for delivery of collaborative package of work
  • Development frameworks: Microsoft .Net 4.x with C#
  • Web Technologies: Microsoft Asp.Net MVC 5, HTML5 and CSS, JavaScript and frameworks
  • Testing Frameworks: NUnit, Moq or equivalent
  • Data & SOA: Microsoft SQL Server 2012+,
  • Industry experience of using best practices for code design (SOLID, design patterns) 
  • Awareness of API first design on platforms such as Mulesoft
  • Experience of developing on Azure PaaS would be beneficial

French Translator

Job Title: French Translator 

Location: Portsmouth

This is a full time permanent position based in our Portsmouth office 

 

What will I be doing?

You will be working as part of the translation team and provide support for the customer service team when/if necessary. As a WiggleCRC translator, you will be responsible for translating everything for your local TLD: website interface, marketing and digital content, technical products, help pages.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Translate website contents, product descriptions and marketing and digital contents
  • Understand and learn WiggleCRC products
  • Make sure the Translation Memory (TM) is organised and up-to-date
  • Make sure the glossary/termbase is organised and up-to-date
  • Assist the customer service team with incoming email and phone queries from customers
  • Any translation and communication in any other foreign language as required by WiggleCRC

Merchandising Analyst

WiggleCRC have an exciting opportunity for an analyst to join the ride in Portsmouth.

What will you be doing?

To work with all the WiggleCRC Merchandising and Replenishment teams to achieve higher availability and increased inventory turn through automated ordering. You will support the Group Central Merchandising Manager in delivering effective Automated Ordering by working closely with all the other B&M teams.

Responsibilities

  • Producing high quality forecast analysis, communicating findings and insight to internal teams that drives actions and quantifiable business outcomes
  • Ensuring SO99+ contains all the business planning inputs such as new product information and promotions for relevant products
  • Analysing the past performance of promotions to enhance the modelling of future ones in SO99+
  • Collaborating with the Replenishment Teams to conduct root cause analysis on Availability, Overstocks and Understocks driven by Forecast Accuracy and Supplier Fulfilment rates
  • Optimising current processes and suggesting new approaches to meeting business needs
  • Carrying out ad-hoc analytics exercises for business planning
  • Communicates and coaches replenishment and merchandising teams on automated ordering

Senior Systems Administrator

What will I be doing?

This role is a key position in the Production Services Team and involves taking a proactive stance in supporting the Wiggle business in the maintenance and upkeep of existing IT Infrastructure, IT Equipment and Telecoms services.

You will also:

  • Fulfil a senior role in the Production Services team, providing support and knowledge-transfer to colleagues in their daily work and activities.
  • Provide proactive day to day support and administration for all infrastructure and services, including servers, storage and networks.
  • Manage incidents, service requests and change for Production Services team.
  • Manage, tracking and trouble-shooting issues, change controls and live fault escalations.
  • Maintain a high level of availability of services and minimising the risk of exposure to system downtime through continual monitoring of key systems.
  • Improve process development, documentation and knowledge dissemination.
  • Liaise closely with internal/external contacts to monitor and maintain current infrastructure while driving new technical projects forward.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • TCP/IP networking LAN/WAN (DNS, DHCP, RAS, VPN) MPLS.
  • Virtualization concepts and functional working skills with various virtualization technologies such as VMware and Cloud-based technology, such as Azure, AWS, GCP.Strong understanding of load balancers & WAFs such as Netscaler, Zen load balancer and load balancer.org, Big IP F5s.

Business Analyst

What will you be doing?

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze, design and document solutions to meet the business objectives, support the in-house and remote development teams in the delivery of the solution and coordinate UAT and business-readiness tasks.

Although you will be required to work in all aspects of the business, this role should have specific understanding of finance processes and Oracle Financial applications would be a benefit.

Context:

As part of the Delivery team you will engage in delivery of both strategic and small change to the Wiggle systems. The scope of work incorporates all infrastructure, Applications and customer-facing websites.

Accountabilities:

  • Work with business teams to identify, understand, prioritise and document business requirements, systems impacts and acceptance criteria.  Collate and analyse performance data to ensure informed decisions.
  • Assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems and identifies options for consideration.
  • Works iteratively with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
  • Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation.
  • Support the development team to write scenarios / user stories / acceptance tests, agree work packages / sprints and produce estimates.
  • Identify any business readiness tasks required to support delivery.
  • Verify and accept the delivered work packages ensuring the development fulfils the business requirements.  Provide support to the test team and business teams to complete functional and acceptance testing.
  • Prepare the handover of products to the business and support teams through showcases and by documenting any business processes changes and producing user guides.
  • Track and report on task progress.

 

 

 

Who are we looking for?

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrate experience of working in a Business Analyst role, preferably within the retail industry, specifically ecommerce channels.
  • Experience of working within an Agile / Scrum project environment.

 

Finance Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • You will have a good understanding of ERP systems from a finance perspective
    • Specific knowledge and experience of Oracle Cloud Financial applications will be desirable

Online Marketing Manager - Swedish Speaking

What will you be doing?

The aim and purpose of the Role:

The Online Marketing Manager is a key role in driving the growth of Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles websites across the Nordic countries, with a focus on Sweden. Working for the top tri sports retailer in Britain, and a major international player, this role will have responsibility for maximising profitability through the growth of sessions, revenue and market share across a variety of channels, including Organic, Paid Search, Google Shopping, Affiliates, Social and Remarketing.   

 

Context:

The Online Marketing Manager, Sweden reports into the Europe Online Marketing Manager and is key in the creation and execution of a Nordic localised online marketing plan to deliver ambitious growth targets across WiggleCRC websites. This role requires a close working relationship with other Online Marketing teams as well as other internal departments (Country Managers, Translation and Customer Services).                  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create, own and deliver an online marketing plan for the Nordic countries
  • Maximise sales and profitability
  • Grow market share in the tri sports market
  • Execute paid search, affiliate and display campaigns for WiggleCRC
  • Work with Country Managers and Translation team to ensure traffic generating opportunities are maximised
  • Develop and optimise affiliate program
  • Identify new third party partners to increase external visibility of Wiggle content

Who are we looking for?

Test Team Lead

Wiggle has an exciting opportunity for a Test Team lead to join the team in Portsmouth.

What will you be doing?

As the Test Team Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the success of the day-to-day testing activities and tasks by prioritising the test workload within workstreams.

Working alongside the team to provide direction, support, mentoring and working as a hands-on test analyst to alleviate bottlenecks. Working closely with the Test Manager to promote best practice within the test team and help innovate the way testing is done.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day test activities within the broad scope of change that helps grow Wiggle and CRC online, to improve release quality and driving towards quicker and better releases.
  • Work with the test team to ensure that functional test cycles complete on time, 100% of the time.
  • Reduce the number of issues found in release testing by 75%, within six months.
  • Drive the integration of regression tests within the functional test cycle to reduce test cycle times.
  • Be able carry out all functional and regression testing for a single release, unaided, within 4 months.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Experienced in using JIRA as a ticketing, incident management and workflow tool.
  • A Proven successful track record working as a Test Lead for medium sized and matrix managed teams.
  • A thorough understanding of the full test lifecycle and the activities required for success at each level.
  • An understanding of test automation, preferably with experience of VMWare, C#, Visual Basic, Selenium, SQL & NUnit (or alternative, translatable skills).
  • A working knowledge of test case management tools (e.g. Test Rail, TM4J).
  • Has worked across a range of methodologies and understands the principles, benefit and application of each (V-Model, Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, etc).
  • A broad experience of e-commerce architecture and the integration of front and back end systems and how they manage data.

eCommerce Product Owner

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Product Owner to join the team in Portsmouth.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Senior Product Owner, Wiggle CRC, you will work day-to-day with the UX and UI teams and Insights.  You will be part of project teams made up of developers, business analysts, project managers and designers

You will own customer experience across Chainreactioncycles.com and the international sites.  Working within the Ecommerce team, with UX and Insights teams to generate a deep understanding of customer behavior and customer needs and prioritising these in to a web development backlog that delivers maximum business value and ROI from our web development teams.

The product owner works with architects, product marketing, business analysts, and development teams to ensure that business goals and user needs are met with each webs release. 

The Product Owner is accountable for the design, usability, quality and delivery of a product or feature. The PO is the key decision maker on priorities and design decisions and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle. 

The Product Owner understands both the engineering and business side of the product release and is ultimately responsible for representing the end user’s needs.

Data Scientist

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Data Scientist to join the team on a Permanent basis in Portsmouth.

Wiggle CRC is a leading global online cycling retailer. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist to build productionised models on Google Cloud Platform. The initial focus will be delivering a highly personalised customer experience on our website and in our CRM campaigns. Longer term, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the data science capability for the wider organisation.

What will you be doing?

Responsible for driving this greenfield deployment and supporting the marketing teams in radically improving Wiggle CRC’s personalisation capability, the successful applicant will deliver new predictive models, customer segmentation, recommendations and personalised content through the application of Data Science on Google Cloud Platform.

The Data Scientist will provide input on all aspects of the design, development and delivery of data products including problem definition, data acquisition, data exploration and visualization, feature engineering, experimenting with algorithms, machine learning, evaluating and comparing metrics, deploying models and iteratively improving the solution, using near real-time and batch data processing.

 

The successful candidate will:

What will you be doing?

The Merchandiser is the overall owner of the range framework, ensuring full analysis has been considered, in line with any known future trends to design an overall plan to enable the Buyer to deliver an edited range of the best products for each customer segment.  This must be done within the overall Department budgeted parameters, and controlled / re-forecast in season, with full communication to the wider business.  The Merchandiser owns the overall Department P&L and is responsible for modelling price promotions and clearance activities, and keeping the range performing within the agreed parameters (Budget / agreed re-forecasts).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sign off the department budget
  • Design and sign off the Department Assortment Plan
  • Use historical analysis and market trends effectively to justify forward plans
  • Identify the required sourcing strategy for the Department
  • Manage the in-season reforecasting process
  • Manage the range within the agreed parameters (width of range, clearance at end of lifecycle etc)
  • Accurate costing of Department Price Changes
  • Sign off Supplier Deals and Terms

Head of Group Profit Protection and Payments

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Group Profit Protection and Payments to be based at our Portsmouth office on a permanent basis.

What will you be doing?

As the Head of Group Profit Protection and Payments you will be responsible for overseeing the Group Profit Protection and Payments functions.  You will identify margin erosion drivers, across several operational and customer facing streams, and formulate strategy to mitigate loss and protect margin.  

You will be responsible for the governance of internal controls across Stock, Operational cost of failure, Returns and Warranty to ensure these functions are working within the required framework and within budget.  

You will oversee the Group Payments team to ensure our customers have the required payment methods available at checkout whilst working within payment regulations and delivering the best commercial agreements from our payment providers.

 

Accountabilities:

Profit Protection:

 

  • Monitoring, highlighting and formulating actions to control margin loss across several operational and customer facing business streams.
  • Governance of the stock control process including cyclical count plans, adjustment analysis and monthly review of performance.
  • Working with the Operational warehouse teams to review and govern process with focus being on protection of margin leakage across eBay, Returns and Warranty teams.
  • Identification and formulation of strategy to manage internal and external security risks on the website and internally.  
  • Supporting the wider business in calling out any potential risk in new projects and business initiatives.
  • Formulation and delivery of a shrinkage budget agreed by the business.
  • Discussion and analysis of department performance within a Monthly Review format.

As a customer service advisor, you will be representing Wiggle, assisting and advising customers via Live Chat, Email and Phone with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to resolve issues.

What will I be doing?

Working as part of the customer service team you will be responsible for helping maintaining Wiggle’s global service levels across all media and contact types. Supporting customers via contact sources of pre-sale, during-sale and after-sale queries related to all products, brands and services.

What hours will I work?

2 Week rotating shift pattern

Week 1:               06:00 – 14:00

Week 2:               14:00 – 22:00

1 in 4 weekends 10:00 – 18:00

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer queries are answered promptly and completely via both Chat and Email
  • Monitoring, responding and resolving customer queries on Social media

Customer Service Junior Team Leader

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Advisor / Team Leader to join the team in Portsmouth on a permanent basis.

What will you be doing?

As the Junior Team Leader, you will work as part of our Customer Services team, supporting the team leader in leading and developing the advisors to assist and support customers pre-sale, during-sale and after-sale. Queries can range from questions about products and brands to issues with orders. Your multi-disciplined, multi-lingual team will work a shift pattern that includes weekends and bank holidays, to maintain service KPIs for our global customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to advisors predominantly from your own team by answering questions and giving advice.
  • Understand and manage current email SLA and being able to put resource in areas that need it most and maintain a live chat availability rate.
  • Carry out ongoing quality checks on emails and live chat from your team and feed the results back to each member of staff. Notify the team leader of any concerns with performance to help effectively manage the development of your team members.
  • Provide a daily update to the team in an email that includes targets and a schedule for the day ahead, and results from the previous day.
  • Provide authorization and passwords for discounts and vouchers for team members while managing the ‘Team Leader’ inbox.
  • Successfully resolve and log customer complaints and escalations through the ‘Complaints Team’ and ‘To the Top’ inboxes either via email or phone.
  • Monitor the ‘Customer Order Notes’ section of the order management system and ensure any notes that require action are dealt with promptly, so the order can be released in to the warehouse processing system.
  • Assist the team leader with interviews for vacancies within your team. Support in setting up the interview and provide feedback to help the team leader decide the successful candidate.
  • Manage the customer callback service by ensuring all calls are assigned to team members with adequate time to prepare and phone the customer.
  • Manage the email inboxes of absent team members by assigning emails that require a response across the rest of your team daily to ensure customers are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Investigate any errors from advisors in your team that are sent by other departments/feedback from customers and work with the Customer Service training manager to arrange further training when necessary.

What will you be doing?

The Translator will be assisting the Translation, Marketing and Customer Service teams with all related translation and communication matters.

Responsibilities:

As a WiggleCRC translator, you will be responsible for translating everything for your local TLD: website interface, marketing and digital content, technical products, help pages.

  • Translate website contents, product descriptions and marketing and digital contents
