To the upper, Northwave has given the Spider 3 MTB Shoes a snug and comfortable fit. Meanwhile, weight is minimised, and ventilation maximised. This balance they've achieved via their Thermo welded layer construction. This gives a smooth, lightweight finish, with areas of ventilation integrated seamlessly into the overall design. This is reinforced internally to add strength and durability while Thermo welded TPU zones offer rock and root-strike protection.
Michelin X-Crossbow Sole
With the experts in tyre traction, Michelin, providing the rubber for the multipurpose sole, you can be assured of the best grip both when you're pushing on the pedals and when you're off the bike and pushing. If you're going around and sessioning a trail feature you'll be happy with the unshakeable grip across rocks, roots and loose loam as you push back up the hill. The enlarged tread pattern clears mud quickly too and the cleat box allows easy pedal engagement.
The X-Crossbow design provides outstanding support alongside shock absorption, offering comfort across the roughest terrain. Inside, the insert offers gradual moulding for pedalling stiffness but enhances comfort when walking.
SL2 Super-quick Lacing
There's no need to waste time when getting your Spider 3s on. The SL2 lace system allows you to get just the right fit, quickly and easily. A simple pull on the lacing system is all it takes. You'll be on the trails and shredding in no time.
Cleat Guidance
These MTB shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
