Lightweight. Tough. Protective. 

POC's lightweight shock-absorbing EPS liner and tough Polycarbonate shell provide the first line of defence against head injuries. Should you be unfortunate to crash, it's the EPS liner that soaks up and dissipates the damaging forces of head impacts. During impacts, the Unibody outer also maintains structural integrity, while during normal riding it provides a tough barrier against overhanging bushes and branches. 

You also have the benefit of POC's patented adjustable breakaway peak. This comes away from the helmet during a crash, reducing harmful forces transmitted to the neck. Extended zones around the temples and back of the head also give you extra protection in high-risk areas.

MIPS Integra Head Protection Solution

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) 

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

The Axion Race also features large intake and exhaust vents, and when combined with inner air channels and the integrated MIPS system, allows a constant rush of air to keep your head cool during your ride. Thanks to the structural strength of the Unibody construction, these vents can be larger without compromising safety.
